Networking event for Tourism businesses
We hosted our first tourism networking event last night in The Buccleuch Centre where accommodation providers, hospitality, tour operators and local businesses came together to meet, share information, ideas and make worthwhile connections with the aim of creating a welcoming visitor experience for tourists to the Langholm and Eskdale area. A talk and presentation by the South of Scotland Destination Alliance provided information to those stakeholders looking for support in promoting their businesses to the wider world and offer ongoing support through membership. www.scotlandstartshere.com Hosted by Tourism Officer, Sharon Tolson and supported by Community Enterprise Manager, Donna Hislop and Board Members of the Langholm Alliance, the evening was well attended with many new connections made and new friendships forged.
