Wilderness Groups event

Members of the Tourism Group travelled to Dumfries to meet with Wilderness Group who were here for a travel trade visit to the South of Scotland. They have been enchanted by the region and our varied visitor offering. The SSDA hosted a networking evening with 11 travel-trade ready local businesses and it was an excellent opportunity for all to meet, chat and discuss the fabulous possibilities here our region. This visit is part of our ambition and strategy to grow tourism in the area through travel trade activities, with a whole host of local, travel trade-ready businesses on the itinerary and presenting at the networking session.
